Shank's GDC Trailer Shanks All Sorts of Enemies
It's a Bloody, Bloody Mess
by Coop
When I had a chance to play Klei's Shank at the Penny-Arcade Expo last year, I was pleasantly surprised by the hack-and-slash adventure title that looked like it was ripped right out of the dreams of Venture Brothers' own Brock Sampson. It still had some ways to go before release, something evident from my hands-on, but was full to the brim with potential. If this new trailer is any indication, the game has grown greatly in the past few months, and Klei has added a massive amount of polish to their beat-em-up side scroller. From the looks of it, there's going to be plenty of beating up to do, and more than enough side scrolling. Take a look.
The trailer itself isn't all that impressive as far as trailers go, but that's not a knock on the game, more the editing of the trailer. Either way, I'm absolutely pumped for this game, and can't wait to hear more from GDC. EA's attachment is nothing short of awesome, too, and means that there's likely even more depth than we know now. We'll be sure to keep you posted on this awesome looking title.
