Steam's Black Friday Deals Go Live
Go Go Go Go Go

If you're reading this, you're one of two people: my editor, looking for spelling mistakes to make fun of me about, or a gamer, anxious to find ways to spend money on things that cost less than this did yesterday. If you're my editor, then scrwe you. If you're a gamer who wants to grab some stuff on Steam, you're in luck. Following what seems to be the thing to do this year, they've started their sales early and will be having new deals every day, with massive cuts to game costs that make their weekend deals looking like nothing. So far, there are seven games on sale, but that is just the beginning.
- Batman: Arkham Asylum - 50% off
- Champions Online - 50% off
- Dragon Age: Origins - 25% off
- GRID - 75% off
- Fallen Earth - 50% off
- Far Cry 2 - 50% off
- Osmos - 80% off
These all end tonight, so it might make sense to pounce now. Far Cry 2 is now $10, which is an insanely low cost for one of the coolest FPS of the year, and Batman is worth whatever they're charging. I don't care if it's a 50% markup.
And that's just the stuff they put in the press release. Beyond that, the Lucasarts package (containing all of the point-and-click adventure games you haven't played but pretend you have) is 60% off, as is the THQ complete pack. The best news? You don't even have the rush for these packs, these sales last through Monday.
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, a batch of new sales will be added. If the deals today are any indication it's going to be an expensive weekend for gamers, which, you know, sort of works against the whole "sale" thing, but whatever. Things are cheap! Yay!
