I really like when game creators say things that I agree with. It makes me feel a connection with them - like we're on the same page. A recent statement by Suda 51 is such a quote.

“I love him (Travis), and I want him to be a huge star. That’s why I’m working very hard to make this game as interesting as possible. Maybe in the future, we can see him fighting alongside Link in the next Smash Bros. [laughs] That would be great.”

I'd absolutely love to see Travis Touchdown in Smash Bros., and I don't think it would actually be a stretch. Solid Snake was in the last one, and he's barely shown his face on Nintendo platforms. Saying he's too mature of a character also goes away for the same reason, since all of Snake's journeys fall into that territory.

So will it happen? Likely not. Nintendo hasn't made two Smash Bros. for a console yet, and they've already blown their Brawl this gen. Then again, the same could be said about Mario titles, and they're prepping at least two more before the end of 2010.
