Super Meat Boy Heading to XBLA Sooner Than Later

One of the more (see: at all) anticipated WiiWare releases in 2010 is Super Meat Boy, a charming old-school platformer by the creator of the Newgrounds hit Meat Boy. For some time, gamers have anxiously awaited the announcement of a release date for the Wii version, and today we found out slightly more than we knew. No, not on the WiiWare release, but on the Xbox Live Arcade iteration, which hadn't previously been announced. Apparently, it will not only come out on the Xbox, but come out first on the 360. I don't know about you, but I just did a double-take.
Beyond the added benefit of HD graphics and achievements, the Xbox Live Arcade version will also include online play, something lacking from the Wii. The Wii version, too, will have some sort of unique content, though the developers haven't yet said what it might be. They're pulling for unique characters, though I doubt we'll see Mario or Link involved.
As for PC, Mac, and PS3, two of the three will be getting a hot beef injection from Team Meat. Both PC and Mac iterations are in the work, while the PlayStation will remain strictly vegetarian, for now (despite the developers having the gmae running on a PS3 test kit). I wouldn't be shocked to see it find its way to the DS, PSP, or iPhone, but it's likely going to be some time before we're playing it at all. Hopefully, if nothing else, it will be out before Fez. Seriously, what happened to that game?

Haha, hot beef injection. And yeah, where the eff is Fez at?
I think it's hilarious that they copied this image from fez.
