Zack and Wiki!

It is to no ones surprise that I have put more thought into the character select screen of Super Smash Brothers: Brawl then I have on many more important things in my life. That said I have a large amount of predictions and speculations about what will and what will not make it into the new Brawl when it reaches our shores in February. On Monday and Friday every week from now until, well, until I run out of ideas, I will give one prediction.

December 28, 2007 – ZACK AND WIKI

Alright, so Megaman has been officially debunked by some of the higher-ups at Capcom. Like I said early on – much of what I say in these predictions may end up being false. I don’t have some “Surfer Girl” in a bottle I can summon to make these for me; it’s all educated guesses. Regardless of the lack of Megaman, I still do strongly believe that someone from Capcom will be in Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Now, on to the next likely candidate: Zack & Wiki.

Zack & Wiki’s Wii exclusive title didn’t sell too well, but it did enjoy enough critical success to earn itself a currently in-development sequel. Zack is a young, chocolate loving pirate who’s friend, Wiki, a shape-shifting, flying monkey, accompanies him on adventures. Wiki turns into useful items that could find themselves being bashed against the heads of Mario and Fox in Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Other moves would make use of some of the items in Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros Treasure.

His Final Smash would enlist the help of Barbaros, the pirate he puts back together from golden skeleton pieces in his game. Once on screen the full Barbaros would slash down enemies with his scimitar and protect Zach from harm for a limited time. After his time was up he would explode into golden bones scattered around the screen that could be used as items to smash eachother with.
