Valve has revealed more information about the WAR update for Team Fortress 2, adding new weapons and items for both classes. For those keeping count, it can still go either way, with the casualty count being fairly even. They've revealed that this weekend will be a free weekend for the game, meaning anyone can download it from Steam and play without spending a dime. Lastly, they've picked the new propaganda posters from fan submissions.

Let's do this thing!

First on the list is a new bazooka for the Soldier. Instead of firing at opponent's feet and letting the wonder of explosions do the damage, this new piece of art is a more precise weapon. Well, for as precise as firing rockets can be. It's called The Direct Hit, and has a much smaller blast radius, but deals 25% more damage and travels 80% faster. He's also getting a new melee weapon that deals more damage the less health he has (a pickaxe called The Equalizer) and The Buff Banner, which rallies teammates to deal minicrits after a Rage Bar is filled up. 

On the other side of the battlefield, the Demoman has been given his last weapon, the Scottish Resistance, which replaces the Sticky Bomb Launcher. It gives him more bombs to work with (that deal less damage, of course) and can be detonated more precisely. Just point at a cluster and click - boom go the sticky bombs. It's a more defensive tool, and should go a long way to destroying opponents and protecting the base.
