Valve Announces Steam Cloud
Service to Save Games and Settings Online
by Coop

Already, Valve is outperforming all competition in terms of digital distribution. Their Steam service is becoming widely used because of its consistently low prices and ease of use, and, after several years of patches, it’s become fairly stable to boot. At a press event on Thursday, Valve announced plans to update their service to bring to it new features that should make PC gaming even more accessible.
Firstly, they have announced Steam Cloud, a system in which your saved games and computer keyboard settings are saved remotely, for access on any computer. This means that from any friends house, LAN center, or computer with an internet connection, you will be able to access your Steam account, download your games, and continue your saved game. The feature will soon be accessible with Half-Life and Half-Life 2, but support for other steam titles including Counter-Strike and the upcoming Left 4 Dead.
Future updates for the service are equally awesome, like the program being able to scan your computer for drivers that need updating and hardware that falls below required specs, and other enhancements to make Steam even more awesome. We will be sure to keep you updated on any, well, updates, as they arrive.
