Warhammer MMO Delayed Until Fall 08

One of the few MMOs in development that look to put a dent in World of Warcraft’s armor, Warhammer Online, has been pushed back to a Fall 2008 release. Originally scheduled for a Q2 launch, the title has been delayed for “additional polish,” which hopefully will put it at a level comparable to WoW’s spit shine. They are definitely going to need it now that their release date is nestled nicely next to the WoW expansion: Wrath of the Lich King.
On the bright side, Mythic has released information on the collectors edition of the game and it looks pretty cool. Gamers will receive a miniature, a graphic novel, an art book, and bonus in-game content. Only 60,000 will make their way to America, so pre-ordering it at your local game store might be a good idea if you want all of the collectors goodies. The full press release is below, detailing everything that a Warhammer Fan needs to get excited for the “upcoming” MMO.

Oh come on. How can anything compete with a WOW expansion? It could be the best game ever, but you're not going to pull away any of those kids with such a promising title like WotLK looming on the horizon. I mean, I LOVE the lore of the WH and WH 40k universe, but I just don't see how anything can compete with WOW at this point.
