Warhammer Online Open Beta Begins
Mythic Studios has opened the flood gates, allowing anyone who has pre-ordered Warhammer Online: Age or Reckoning to spend just over a week playing a character that will be deleted a few days before the game goes live. In other words, Open Beta has begun. If you have been wondering if the game is going to be worth the money I suggest trying to get in on this, because there's no better way to judge an MMO than to spend a week playing on laggy servers, buckling under the pressure of hundreds of thousands of new players joining all at once. I love this part of the MMO process...
I recently started playing the game and spent a few hours exploring the Greenskin area as a Goblin Squig Herder, attempting to push back marauding bands of Dwarves. It's nice to get my hands on it off the PAX show floor, and so far I am impressed by the game, recommending it to anyone tired of their normal MMORPG routine. For our PAX impressions click here, and for more news on the game be sure to check back in the coming weeks.
In related news, I’ll be playing Warhammer Online: Age or Reckoning into its launch for at least the next few weeks, so if you’re planning on jumping into the WAR be sure to join Gamervision’s Warhammer Online group and meet up with fellow fighters before charging out to the battlefield. I’d love to get a Gamervision Guild going if enough people are interested. Oh, and one more thing... WAAAGH!!!
