Wii Gets Updated to Firmware 4.1
Glowing Blue Nonsense Explained!
by Coop

Last night, Nintendo pushed Firmware Update 4.1 through to Wiis in North America, providing behind-the-scene updates and fixes.
It also claims to fix some security problems with the system that allowed for custom saves, which were exploited for homebrew on the system. Expect an outcry from the modding community as they scramble to find new games to hack apart and sacrifice to the gods of illicit activities.
In other words, there's no real reason your Wii is glowing blue. No one sent you a Mii, no one sent you a letter, don't get excited. Like I did. And freak out. Like I did.
I like getting Wii Mail. First one to send me Wii Mail gets $500 Gamervision Bucks.

I like waking up to the glowing blue light. It's soothing.
Oh noes! No more homebrew! Ah, I'm sure the latest update has been hacked already.
