Wii Tony Hawk Ride to Feature Mii Support
Play as Tonmii Hawk! WOW That's a Bad Joke!

Tony Hawk Ride comes out a little later this month, landing on November 17th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii. Depending on how well the new peripheral works, it will either revolutionize the Tony Hawk series or kill it outright. While obviously not the spotlight version, IGN has revealed that, for the Wii, Activision is going to throw in some unique features to make up for the lack of online play and high-definition graphics. Two additional levels will help bridge the gap, as will support for Miis. Besides being able to play as professional skaters, as is the case on the other systems, gamers will also be able to play as either their very own Mii or a skater's Mii.
Looking at the screenshots it's obviously a fair bit different looking than the other versions, but that's not really a bad thing. The Wii simply can't handle the graphics of the PS3 and 360, and I almost would have rather they take a stylized route. Miis might not have been the way to go, and copying EA's example from Madden 10 or Grand Slam Tennis might have been a better bet. Tony Hawk has always been larger than life, without a real grounding in reality, so a weird style fits the mood pretty well.
Either way, kudos to the developers for making sure they gave Wii owners something to get at least a little excited about for their SD version of Tony Hawk Ride. A trailer is below, showing off the deformed skating in action. Enjoy!

Looks good, but still not enough to convince me I need this game.
In college, while playing Tony Hawk Underground, I once got a 5 million point half-pipe vert run. My roommate then proceeded to do a 300 million point flatlands trick. ONE SUSTAINED TRICK. I have never played a skateboarding game since then.
