Wii Wheel - $14.99
Dignity Sold Separately
by Coop
A recent Gamestop advertisement has confirmed the price for what will soon be the best selling plastic lump of 2008. Releasing alongside Mario Kart Wii, the Wii Wheel will retail at $14.99. Early tests with the shell has deemed it feeling useless and cheap, though I doubt that will stop millions of these from flying off the shelves when the game releases on April 27th.
I really can’t see myself picking this up anytime soon. If anything I will use one of the Wavebird controllers I bought for Super Smash Bros Brawl. $14.99 for this seems a little steep, too. That price puts it just $5 less then the nunchuck attachment, which has motion sensing capabilities, two buttons, and a joystick. This, on the other hand, is a piece of plastic that doesn’t do anything but hold a $39.99 controller sideways for you. You are likely better suited buying a used Gamecube controller or – more controversially – just turning the remote sideways like you have been forced to do in countless minigames on the system.

i think this is cool... it reminds me of that lap toy i had as a kid, it kind of looks like a car dashboard but you sit down and it fits over your lap like a tray. now if this only had a fake key so i could turn the car "on", then i would TOTALLY buy it.
Should I be embarrassed that this looks like a reasonable investment to me?
