WoW to Add Faction Changing
The Horde is Likely Displeased

Blizzard isn't content with one controversial announcement a day. No, they go for a duo, and have confirmed a massive change for World of Warcraft. Soon, players will be able to change their faction, breaking the wall between Horde and Alliance. Yeah, I know, it's huge. I'm surprised you're still reading this and not lighting a fire or something. This is riot-worthy stuff.
"There’s still much work to do and many details to iron out, but the basic idea is that players will be able to use the service to transform an existing character into a roughly equivalent character of the opposing faction on the same realm," stated Blizzard Poster Nethaera. "Players who ended up creating and leveling up characters on the opposite factions from their friends have been asking for this type of functionality for some time, and we’re pleased to be getting closer to being able to deliver it."
Odds are this will be a paid service, like changing servers is, but it's still huge news. I already feel the ripping of the community, breaking apart and losing their freaking minds. Honestly, I'm not even a WoW fan but this makes me excited. The one thing MMORPGs need to do is move away from hard "factions" and towards a calmer middle ground.
Anyone going to jump ship and change factions when this goes live? Or is everyone going to stay true to the horde or noble with the alliance?

I have a character I might switch for the exact reason that was put forth. I think it's a decent service especially for those of us that don't have the time to level multiple characters to 80.

You know what, switchers? Good. We didn't want you in the horde anyway. Y'all jump around all the time like some gorram gnome. Good riddance, I say.
Oh wow cool ...... cough cough.... I can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed by this game in the last 6 months.
As 3.2 Patch is going completely destroy everything I've done in the last 6 months playing this god-forsaken game, changing all the badges into conquest badges so that acquiring t8 gear and venturing through Ulduar will be much easier. THUS HAVING WASTED ALL THAT DAMN TIME I SPENT GETTING t7 AND ACTUALLY FIGHTING MY WAY THROUGH ULDUAR RAWWWWR!
Whiny kids want to be able to change factions? That's retarded, should've just rolled the opposite to begin with.
I'm with TwoWeekRental on this one. Changing factions is no good. Start over for cripes sake.

In all seriousness; this is a monumental issue. I haven't played WoW in a while (and don't plan on it again) but I would have to say that I'm for this change. People should want to choose their allegiance. If they're not happy beating up the good guys (or vice verse) they should be able to change sides. That's just my opinion.
