*UPDATE* Xbox Avatars Playable in Guitar Hero 5
Rock Out With Your Avatar Out
by Coop

UPDATE: Video of the Avatars in action below.
Don't feel like creating another digital visage to play the next big music game? It is getting a bit crazy; we're being forced to recreate ourselves every time a new game comes out. Well, if you're a Guitar Hero fan with an Xbox 360 you're in luck - Activision has announced plans to bring Xbox Avatars to Guitar Hero 5.
Now here's the strange part: the press release says "Xbox Avatars will also get a Guitar Hero makeover in the game’s Create-A-Rocker mode, where players can further customize their creations with exclusive Guitar Hero clothing and accessories to ensure they look performance-ready." What exactly does that mean? We have no idea. Will they be turned into more... realistic characters? If so, that sort of misses the point. When Guitar Hero III came out on the Wii the option to use Miis was opened, and they weren't given the "Guitar Hero makeover."
Ignore all of that random speculation, the video above shows that they likely just mean being able to use clothing. New random speculation: can I use my premium Gears of War outfits? What if Rock Band makes Avatar clothing? Can I wear that in Guitar Hero 5? Wouldn't that be awesome?
The press release is below. Anyone else excited by this, or am I just being a child?

This is pretty cool but I'm still NOT buying clothes for my avatar. I was ony planning to pickup RB: Beatles, guess I might have to get this one too.
I wasn't buying GH5 before the avatar announcement, and I'm still not. I'm all about the Fab Four.
