Xbox Live Arcade Update 01.18.10
Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment and Death by Cube
by Coop

Thought you'd make it through this week only buying one downloadable game called Muscle March? You were right. There are, on the other hand, games with other names worth paying attention to. They don't hold a candle to the manly man-fest that is Muscle March, but Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment 1200
and Death by Cube 800
will be available this Wednesday on Xbox Live regardless. Odds are you're already going to have used all of your digital money (on, of course, Muscle March), and it's not like you'll have time to play them, what with Muscle March releasing on WiiWare, but, hey, you might as well know it exists.
Konami's legendary tactical role-playing game (RPG) series returns with Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment on Xbox LIVE® Arcade! On the continent of Sostegaria, two rival kingdoms stand on the brink of war. Caught in the tide of battle is young orphan Tobias Martin. Driven to defend his homeland, and to avenge those already fallen, Tobias enlists with his comrades to fight for peace. But all is not what it seems, and they face a threat far deadlier—and closer—than they know.
- Classic gameplay, expanded and streamlined: Flames of Judgment combines the speedy RPG pace of the original Vandal Hearts with improved user mechanics and top-notch presentation.
- Strong story: Serving as the prequel to the original Vandal Hearts, Flames of Judgment delivers a rich, focused, and character-driven storyline.
- Multiple endings: Your actions throughout the game determine the ending, the future of Tobias, and more!
- Party members adapt: Player characters improve their skills as you see fit, providing a wide range of options.
DEATH BY CUBE™ is an exhilarating action game in which you must take out endless hordes of enemies. Leo is a robot, one who awakes to find that he has lost his memory. All he knows is that he must reboot the heroine robot, so he sets forth on a mission hoping to regain his memory. To his surprise, he finds the world is now filled with battalions of enemy robots, drenched in bright red oil, and shooting bullets every direction.
- Over-the-top action: Faced with an overwhelming number of enemies, retaliate with formidable weapons.
- Defensive abilities: The main character Leo has a special power called "Force." Absorbed bullets can be unleashed as an attack!
- Unlockables: When each stage is completed, you'll get chips that can be used to unlock new player characters. Each player character has a unique characteristic and choosing which character dramatically affects your strategy.
- Online play: Join with up to eight players divided into two teams and fight against each other. Modes include Death match, Domination, and High-score challenge.

Xbox LIVE Gold Members can purchase Mass Effect’s Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station for 240
. That's nice and cheap, and while Pinnacle Station might kind of suck, Bring Down the Sky is fairly cool. For $3? It's a great hold over until you go to K-Mart every night and hope that they break street-date on ME2.
