Xbox Live Gets a Snow Globe
Shake Up Your Friends
by Coop

In an attempt to combat PlayStation Home, Xbox Live's Winter Premium Theme has been updated with a Snow Globe, filled with randomly selected friends' Avatars and lots of snow. 'Tis the season, so they say.
Hitting buttons shakes it, throwing around the Avatars and stirring them up. If you've downloaded the Winter Theme you already have the Snow Globe, it doesn't require any additional downloads, and will likely be bound to the theme.
Sure, it's no Virtual Social Network, but its free and silly. I haven't had a chance to mess with it yet, but while wandering through the NXE and looking at what my friends are playing I'll give it a spin - there are worse ways to spend twenty seconds.

Cute.
There ARE worse ways to spend twenty seconds--like using Home!
Sorry, couldn't help myself!
@Sarah: I thought Home was okay. Hung out with Voyou for a little bit, then noticed the time and tried to get to bed. It was nice. Chill out in some "home" and then do stuff outside of it. Good stuff, I thought.
Oh, the globe is gay. Like, super gay. Yeah. I love my XBox360 to death, but I don't think I'll be using the snow globe with my theme. I might just change it just because of it, actually, now that I think of it.
i feel like microsoft went half assed with the new xbox setup, like a last minute retaliation to home. "fuck we gotta combat home so lets take wii avatars and add netflix and call it a whole new experience"
i still plat my xbox far more then my ps3 but with the release of home my ps3 is going to gte alot more attention.
