In Shenmue the main character Ryo is looking to avenge his father's death, but doing so has him asking a lot of questions.  When Ryo isn't busy with vending machines he'll stroll around town asking everyone the same exact question which will sometimes result in action.  In this case the action is a bar fight with unintimidating sailors who can't figure out why no one will take them seriously.  I wonder why...

     OH DIP!  Did that guy just diss him WITH MILK!?!?!  That's some low bow hatin'.  No wonder Ryo flipped out and ruined everyone's day.  Ryo was totally lookin' for some of "this."  Oh and that sailor with his stylish hat ALWAYS wants to know if people are TV detectives.  He's always wanted to be on television and figures being a shady sailor is the only way he'll ever achieve it.  A man can dream can't he?

     I wonder if the voice actor for Ryo ever questioned the reason why he had to say "sailors" so many times throughout the game.  And I'm pretty sure the direction for the milk guy was "act like you're trying to speak for the first time ever."
