Continue? - Monster Party
"I'm Bert!"
Salutations viewer! Welcome to the second installment of our Halloween specials where we play games dealing with Monsters, Mummies, Mother by Glenn Danzig, and other creepy things!
Once in a while on Continue? we play a game that leaves us thinking, "WTF?" This is one of those games. Monster Party for Nintendo is the story of Mark, his bat, and his new friend Bert. Don't get too scared now.
Every week on Continue?, we sit people down to play a random old school game for 45 minutes. We're talking NES, SNES, Genesis old here. There is one question we are trying to answer - do we want to stop playing or continue?

I can't believe I never played this as a kid. Damn... I missed out. Although I don't think it would has been as funny then as it is now. Awesome Continue guys! I give it 5/5 boners! Any chance of seeing Raul this Halloween??
bought this at Toys R Us near Quakerbridge Mall on Route 1 with my saved money and learned what buyers remorse meant... even back then I thought this game was an example of "Japanese weird" ... you know, that just above slightly off that could be explained by translation and a Pacific Ocean of culture shock...
This game is just a bunch of random nonsense. Though you made this game very fun.
you guys need to see the ending though... it is kinda fucked up...
Jeez laweez - you guys cranked up the profanity twenty fold. Though I suppose its not your fault; you can't play a game with a rape-happy griffon and NOT expect you guys to comment on it:D Great video. Btw, Game Informer ran a story about this recently. Did you know that the studio that made this would eventually hire Goichi Suda? AKA, Suda 51? AKA, the brilliant madman who brought us No More Heroes and Killer 7? He didn't work on this game personally, but now you can see why he ended up so weird:D The place that made THIS instilled their game design philosophy on the guy.
As for suggestions, might I suggest Demon's Crest for the SNES? Its an excellent game. Actually though, it's sorta RPG/Metroid-vania, so you probably wouldn't get to the parts that really show off how amazing it is. Gargoyle's Quest 2 for the NES then! It's far less ambitious and far more...instantly fun. Plus, WAY TOO FEW gamers have even heard of this series, instead knowing about its stupider, more popular cousin, Ghosts N' Goblins. That series blows; I hate GnG. Go play Gargoyle's Quest 2!
This is just a suggestion and i'm not sure id you guys had played this on here before but i think Mutant League Hockey would be a great Halloween game.
7:43 = KITTEN MITTENS!!!!!!!
