Fans of Phoenix Wright will feel a little out of place when they take up the role of archrival Miles Edgeworth in Capcom’s newest court title Gyakuten Kenji.  Roughly translated as Reversal Prosecutor, the game will allow players to explore the crime scene and interrogate suspects while moving freely about the room for the first time.  Gyakuten Kenji is set to release May 28th in Japan but there is no word of the title coming stateside just yet.

     The official Japanese website has launched with screenshots and more details...in Japanese.  You can view the official trailer here complete with gameplay...and Japanese words that I don’t understand. 

     I played through the first Phoenix Wright but felt restricted at points.  Staring at room trying to look for clues can only be so thrilling.  I tried to write this off as a fault of porting a GBA title to the DS but ignored all other releases of the series anyway.  However, if Gyakuten Kenji makes its way over to the US I may just pick it up.  It just seems more fun to be on the prosecuting side!
