Max Payne Movie to Begin Filming March 2nd

No Uwe Boll? Then it can't be THAT bad...

Details have popped up about the frequently delayed Max Payne movie.  Filming will begin on March 2nd of this year and scheduled to end on May 9th, in hopes of a 2010 release.

According to Productioncharts.com, the role of Max Payne will be played by our favorite 3 nippled actor, Mark Wahlberg.  It's rumored that actress Natasha Alam will be casted as Mona Sax.

Filming will take place in Toronto and will be directed by John Moore (The Omen (2006), Behind Enemy Lines, Flight of the Phoenix).  Production Charts adds a brief synopsis,

"The story of a New York cop whose wife and baby are killed by thugs high on a designer drug called Valkyr. Devastated, the cop joins the Drug Enforcement Agency and goes undercover with the mob to find the source of the drug. Framed for the murder of his partner and hunted down by both the mob and the police, he is forced to wage a one-man war against crime."

I can't say that I'm looking forward to this one, but any video game movie that doesn't reek of complete garbage before actual shooting begins does offer some hope.  3D-Realms would like to add that they have nothing to do with the film, but are excited.

They might pull it off... but wont. This game I could see being made into a movie, but who ever came up with the idea for the Dead or Alive movie?

I imagine a meeting like this took place:

    Producer 1:
    Nerds like boobs.

    Producer 2:
    Let's make it.

I wonder if Mark Wahlberg can pull off the "I just ate something really sour" face for an entire movie. I guess we'll see.

You know, Postal doesn't look bad. I laughed my ass off during the trailer. Perhaps Uwe Boll has found a way to make a good movie at last.

And I have NO idea what Max Payne is all about, but I have some vague unfocused problem with Mark Wahlberg, so... I dunno.
