Silver PS3, Bundle and Budget Titles to Debut in Japan This March
No US release details? Lousy Smarch weather!

UPDATE: SCEA claims there are no plans to bring the silver PS3 to the states. :(
We all love the ability to choose the color of our gaming consoles upon purchase. But it has always seemed that Japan enjoys it just a little bit more than everyone else. Remember when the DS Lite released in Japan with 3 colors and all we got was plain old white? *sigh* Anyway, details arrived today that Sony has plans to release a 40gb silver PS3, and bundle, on March 6th in Japan.

The bundle will be sold with a silver PS3, Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan (Yakuza 2) and a dragon sticker that may be used to make your trapper keeper look extra cool. The silver PS3 will be available seperately as well. The bundle will be priced at 47,040¥ ($440 USD) while the silver PS3 alone will be 39,980¥ ($375 USD).
Sony continued announcements with the revealing of their new line of budget titles. These titles will carry the Japanese "best of" logo, feature smaller box-art and will have the budget friendly price of 3,800¥ ($35) and will be released in Japan March 196th. Here's the first wave of budget games:
Folklore
Resistance: Fall of Man
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Mobile Suit Gundam: Target in Sight
Ridge Racer 7
Unfortunately, there are no details for US releases at the moment, but I can only assume that we'll at least get the budget titles. I haven't been able picked up a PS3 for myself yet, but Sony keeps giving me reasons to wait.

I'm ready for a new color already. I may be in the minority but I am totally ready to buy another PS3 but alas the US gets no love :( I think if they did give us the choice I might go with a white one although a silver one would match my PSP...hehe
