2008 Puzzle Game of the Year

Gamervision's 2008 "Best Ever" Awards

by Gamervision

The puzzle game is a genre made famous by Tetris in 1985, and over two decades later, it is still extremely prominent in gaming. Just when it seems like there are no original ideas left to base puzzles on, Sony exclusive Echochrome came along and rewrote the rules on perspective. It wasn’t the only downloadable puzzle game to make a mark, however, with World of Goo and Roogoo showing games don’t need to come in a box to be worth playing. Despite not selling nearly as well as it should have, Boom Blox was critically acclaimed and gave many gamers a reason to turn on their Wiis, which wasn’t always easy in 2008.

Despite 2008 being another great year for video games of the puzzle genre, only one can be the Best Ever this year. We’ll tell you the answer, but can you solve this riddle first?

I've heard nothing but good things, but still haven't had a chance to play it. I'll have to borrow someone's.
