GameTap to Go Free
New Service to Be Supported Through Advertising
by Gamervision
GameTap, the broadband game portal owned by Ted Turner's Turner Broadcasting System announced yesterday that they would be offering a free-to-play service to users. Instead of charging a monthly rate for access to the games, this service will be supported through ads.
PC users (sorry Mac fans... not yet...) will have access to GameTap's library of over 900 games on a rotating basis.
Stuart Snyder, Turner's executive vice president and chief operating officer of Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media, said to Game Daily, "We've opened the door even wider--so that practically anyone with a broadband connection can give GameTap a spin. We want people to sample not just the massive library of GameTap titles, but the adrenalin rush that attracted over 20 million game plays last year."

Nice! This is a great service except that I USE A MAC! Come on Turner, get with the times!
Telling someone to get with the times by making mac accessible games? I could say the same thing to you :-P.
i'm guilty of using a mac as well. shucks.
as to you coop, next time you come t the office we will NOT offer you pizza.
Hey, if it was a new video editing tool I wouldn't be upset if it didn't come out for the PC. Each has its purpose.
GameTap seems to serve a purpose to Mac users too! That's an anti-Macsist statement Coop and I take offense! Your superior third-party support will never match my usability!
