Halo 3 - Update
New Weapons, Vehicles and the Current State of Co-Op
by Gamervision
Bungie was planning on releasing new details about Halo 3 in the August issue of EGM, but it appears some Bothans got their hands on the intel a little early. The nice folks over at GeekPulp.com placed most of the new details up on their site.
One of the juiciest pieces of information is the addition of a Human Banshee-type flying vehicle called a "Hornet". This hovercraft will be able to carry two additional soldiers along with the pilot.
There is some unfortunate news too. Co-Op will be limited to split-screen or system link, no online support. This is totally unacceptable at this point, Bungie should have done everything they could to get online co-op ready for release.

I dunno why, but EVERY time I see a Halo3 trailer involving APC's, it totally reminds me of my fav. FPS game ever: Tribes (1). Maybe it's cuz, imho, they revolutionized FPS gameplay & Halo 3 reminds me of what Tribes 2 should've been.
The whole lack of co-op mode is puzzling to me. I'm sure it'll be a great game, regardless, but it could've been so much more. Maybe it's the Gears of War thing where you were just blown away by gameplay/co-op or maybe it's just that, like Blizzard, we almost expect perfection from Bungie.
All my parties and events have been geared around large multiplayer games. Maybe now I'll have to have parties just so players can do co-op campaign.
