One of the most anticipated games in years might have gone the way of the Dodo. According to Game Informer, Spore has been delayed indefinitely. Seeing as video presentations have been shown displaying what appeared to be the entire game, which was due out months ago, this news is not entirely likely. Kotaku did the brave thing and dug even deeper, revealing that Spore was delayed until the 2009 fiscal year. This is actually harder to believe, seeing as there is no reason that this game should take another year to develop. Hell, it is probably done. EA’s motives are not known in this aspect short of forum rumblings of “They want to push the Sims harder.” If this news is indeed true the likelihood is that there is some game breaking problem that they estimate will take a year to fix.
