Ubisoft Pulls Mind Quiz
Retards the Sales and Cripples the Games Popularity
by Gamervision
In a somewhat spastic move from Ubisoft, copies of Mind Quiz: Your Brain Coach were pulled off of store shelves.
The exact reason for the recall was not given, only vague rumblings that an “offensive word to people with disabilities” slipped past Ubisoft quality control as well as the Entertainment Software Rating Board.
There is no clarification on what exactly the overly offensive word is, but if we gamers put our collective heads together, I have no doubt we can figure it out.
But this seems to be a recurring theme nowadays. Ever since developers learned that the ESRB doesn’t actually play the games they rate (for the most part) there have been more and more stories about this kind of "mistake" finding its way into a title.
So fear not gamers, Ubisoft is looking out for you. Yes, an offensive word has shown up in a game that probably no one owns. But now nobody else can buy it.
