Preview: Logitech Revue
Google in a Box
Logitech along with Sony are the first manufacturers to announce product with Google TV built in.

The Logitech Revue is powered by an Intel Atom processor and will work with any TV that has HDMI.
The idea is to give you access to the entire Internet from your TV, and a keyboard with a built in touchpad is included to that end. In addition, there are apps like Netflix, Amazon on Demand, and Pandora to give you access to additional content.
You can even plug your existing cable or satellite box into the Revue, and it will control them.
Imagine being able to find out who that actress is on some show, find other shows she's in, set a record for the next time she's on, and download a movie she's in, all from one interface. That's the promise of Google TV.
On the back you get HDMI in and out, two USB ports, Ethernet, and an optical audio out. There are two IR Blaster outputs for controlling your TV and cable/satellite box.
The Revue is a little pricy at $300, given that the $99 Apple TV does much of what this will do (minus the web and controlling parts). The real hope is that the Android-based open source operating system will inspire many new apps much as Android has done for the cell phone market.
