Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Continue?
Man, Fuck That Water Level
This game is fantastic. So fantastic it is hard as shit. I don't know anyone who wasn't afraid of the water level. Watch three grown men cower in fear at the mere mention of that level.
Also... Paul made this for your enjoyment:

Every week on Continue?, we sit people down to play a random old school game for 45 minutes. We're talking NES, SNES, Genesis old here. There is one question we are trying to answer - do we want to stop playing or continue?

For what ever reason, games just don't seem to have the same level of difficulty since moving to 3D.
Man this brings back so many great memories. Fuck that water level. Shit still haunts me.
Dom was having an epic moment...I was all like "Yeaaaaaaaa" and I was like "Noooooooooooo".
The water level sucks, but you really just have to know the "currents" and the F'd up swimming physics...
the bigger issue which is why I would [and just did after popping this game in my NES] "gameover" is because of the enemy difficulty... unless you are exploiting enemy AI glitches like the boomerang guys jumping in place when close enough, the game just is a endurance run dodging enemies that take 4+ hits...
The enemy base level leading up to the technodrome is a great example... those underground "roll-y things" are a mess.
When our friends would make a run at trying to beat the game... we'd fill up all turtles with 99 of those scroll subweapons in level 3... which by then was so boring and tedious that if you got a cheap death [those closing in spike walls or fire floors in level 4], the controller would usually be aimed at the game and reset the hard work... with anger to spare...
I created an account months ago to recommend Baseball Simulator 1.000 on NES... my favorite baseball game still with great regular mode, and nuts super ultra powerups insanity-fest...
^ those scrolls usually 1 hit any basic enemy, which is why they would be stored up for those last 3 levels
