The Halo Universe is really cool, and the original trilogy has only given a hint at how massive this conflict with the Covenant is. Halo Wars looks like it's gearing up to give the player a totally new perspective on this universe-spanning conflict with the Covenant. With all the buzz surrounding Halo 3, many forget this little title is on it's way. Gameplay wise, the controls look solid, the environments fully detailed and the combat really intense. One of the coolest things is seeing marines doing push-ups behind the barracks while a couple of mechanics work on damaged Warthogs. Depending on what we learn at the end of Halo 3, I think there will be much of the story left to discover with plenty of Covenant to blow up, and that's fine by me.
