Pen-and-Paper Left4Dead

Man, I haven't posted in a while, have I?

You may remember me asking advice about making a tabletop survival horror game some time ago. Well, as it turns out, we're starting the campaign tonight!

The campaign setting is loosely based on the game of the same name. Three players will witness the outbreak and will have to survive the panic and various zombie attacks. They must fight monsters, aberrations and even other people as they search for food, weapons, survival gear and other materials through the urban jungle to make it out alive.
However, the mindless monstrosities will not be GM-controlled. Rather, a friend of mine asked if he could play as the infected when I invited him to the game, so I figured that having a third party would mix things up. I provide the setting, and the three survivors battle against one mastermind with only one objective: kill the players.

I intend to chronicle these adventures, as I see massive creative potential in having players decide of their outcomes. It is an adventure that will be created not by one, but five people, as their ideas and morals conflict with each other. This should create an interesting story.

On the technical side of things, we are using the core d20 Modern rules, with a good number of variants, most notably healing; which is particularly important, as they have no access to magic nor professional equipment.
Lastly, I have incorporated Sanity rules, adapted from the Unearthed Arcana expansion rulebook for D&D 3.5. You can read more on that here.

I've been working for a few months on this here, and some parts of the game are fairly experimental, but I hope it'll all work out and we get to have as much fun playing through the game as you get to read about it.

The only thing missing is a title, though. I'm open to suggestions!

SO AWESOME. Take pictures and notes, I can't wait to hear how this turns out. I'd help you with a title but I'm the worst ever at naming things.

I'm interested to see if the infected controlled plays more like an additional DM or and adversary player. Let me know how it works out.

I foresee many Paranoia-esque double crossings coming from a game like this.
