Sony surprised audiences by announcing they would indeed be bringing a SIXAXIS controller to the PS3. Duh. The possible bad news is that it will look exactly like the current SIXAXIS controlling, putting to rest the rumors of a new analog stick layout. The good news is that future games will make full use out of the SIXAXIS rumble, and old games will be able to update through the PSN. The controller should hit US soil in the spring of 2008. The other big news is that Sony will start to utilize the PS3 as a hub for remote gaming. This is already available with titles like Lair. The news here is that a single PS3 could support multiple PSP's for remote online gaming. Your PS3 will also be able to turn your PS3 on and off. This kind of innovative thinking could help give Sony the boost it so desperately needs.
