NES Emulator Comes To iPhone

Another Great Way To Smudge Up Your Screen

by Joe

This has to be the coolest things I have stumbled on all day. Thanks to the many groups out there trying to unlock the full potential of the iPhone, this emulator was created. The controls look to be a little wonky, and the screen is extremely small, but this is still one of the hottest iPhone apps yet. From the video below, it looks like the games run pretty slow, but this is most likely just a first test. Just seeing all the possibilities the iPhone has gets me more excited everyday. Forget resizing a picture with your fingers, this is what the touch screen was made for!

i'm not 100% familiar with the iphone, but does the touch screen have more than one point of interaction? example being can it pick up two inputs like pressing right on the d-pad to walk right and pressing a [or b, forget which is to jump] to jump?

if not, i don't see the iphone as a viable gaming device

ahh! i was just wondering because the person who made the video seemed like he was only pressing the screen at one point at a time.
