Everyone heard the rumors, and last week Microsoft confirmed them, a new Xbox is on the way. The Xbox 360 Elite will be coming to stores in April, fully loaded with a 120 GB hard drive, HDMI port and everything re-done in a new sleek black. This is the machine Microsoft hopes to answer the PS3, and Apple TV. The hard drive is perfect for downloading a storing movies, which will become more available on Xbox Live over the next few months, and the HDMI port will utilize . As of right now, Apple is still only offering downloadable movies at "near DVD quality", but Xbox Live will host HD downloads. So what about all of us who supported Microsft from the begining? Well, for a mere $179.99 we can pick up a 120 GB HD too. Will it enhance your gaming experience? Not really, unless you need that much more space for game saves. It really is only going to be crucial for their media downloads. The main feature that would be nice is the HDMI port, but a majority of players still haven't made the leap to HD, and the component cables work well enough. For those who do invest, Microsoft will include HDMI cables with the package, a sore spot for many who purchased the PS3. As of right now, Microsoft has no word on possible discounts for existing 360 owners. Microsoft is becoming more like Apple everday.

Looks very appealing but im not going to throw down 480.00 for a black 360 when i can send it too a customize place and pay 60 dollars. And the HDD is only 180.00 i believe.

It would almost be worth the price if they could fix how loud it is.
