E3 10: Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light E3 Trailer Debuts
Shows Off New Art Style, New Gameplay, New Final Fantasy
Square-Enix has released a trailer for Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, their newest attempt at bringing a multiplayer Final Fantasy title on Nintendo's handheld. While they've tried in the past with the Crystal Chronicles series, they've, for for the most part, fallen a bit short, something it looks like they're ready to address with this new game. This can be seen in a number of areas, like the new, visually appealing art style and a combat system that remembers the fact that the DS isn't really all that well suited for action games. Hell, they may have even cut out platforming. That would be fantastic.
Despite being disappointed by some of the other DS FF games, we're pretty sure Square-Enix has seen the error of their ways. The sheer fact that this appears to be on some sort of turn-based scale is enough for us to want to check it out, and the lack of gimmicks (see: Wii/DS crossover technology) has us excited for a more polished experience. We'll expect that we'll be seeing the game next week at E3, so be sure to post any questions you might have for Square-Enix in the section below. While they might not want to answer them, we'll be absolutely sure they do. Or else.

I'm interested.
Shocking, I know.
Interest is piqued for sure...
If this had a customizable, nameable avatar, was on a console, and was an action game, I would be all over it.
There hasn't been a decent FF game like that since the original Crystal Chronicles.
