E3 10: New Kojima Countdown Clock is Filled With Sharp Edges
And Kanji
As if E3 wasn't already hectic enough, Konami and Kojima are turning heads, once again, with a mysterious countdown site. Last year, the clock was ticking down towards two reveals: Peace Walker, which was released last week, and Rising, which is still as mysterious as it was when it was announced. This time, the website is covered with images of knives being used to cut food, hair, paper, and other objects, which could by a reference to Rising's protagonist, Raiden, and his love for all things sharp. There are also random instances of the images changing to other things, which we assume is important. It could also be a reference to Kojima getting a hair cut; we simply don't know what to expect with that guy.
The counter ends in three days, but since there's no hour counter, that could either mean Monday or Tuesday. If it ends Monday, we can expect to hear more during Microsoft's press conference. If Tuesday, we'll be hearing more during Sony's. Or Nintendo's. Again, we can't say anything would surprise us anymore.
No matter when it ends, or what it is, we'll have some information soon. Hopefully when we stop by the Konami booth there will be a playable version of whatever it is they'll be announcing, and, if that's the case, expect to hear a lot more. Like, all of the news. Ever. Forever. We'll keep you all sorts of posted.
