E3 10: Ocarina of Time Heading to 3DS
Yeah, That's a Thing

Every year, Nintendo has this strange tradition of forgetting to announce huge news at its press conference. Usually, it’s for no reason. This year, we have to chalk it up to there simply being “too much stuff,” and we’re hardly in any position to complain. Still, it seems a bit odd that they wouldn’t let this out until recently: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is on its way to the 3DS. Where did this shocking news come from? Their Twitter, of all places.
Zelda fans, one more thing... We're proud to introduce The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D! #NintE3ndo #E3
That’s right, arguably one of the best games of all time is being bumped to 3D and ported to the handheld. While there’s no news beyond that simple statement, it shouldn’t really tax the imagination much to envision what it will look like on the as-of-yet unreleased handheld. In fact, now that Nintendo has added an analog stick (of… sorts) to the DS line, the possibilities of bringing some of the best Nintendo 64 games to the system are limitless. Despite already being released on the DS, I’m sure everyone would flip for Super Mario 64 in 3D on the new handheld, and I doubt anyone would complain if Majora’s Mask makes a similar move. I don't even like that game all that much, but hot damn would I play it in 3D on a train like no one's business.
I wish we had more, but that’s it for now. Stay tuned for more madness from the E3 floor. Expect about 100 more games to be confirmed for the 3DS by the time you wake up tomorrow. Nintendo might not have been blowing smoke when they said that they had huge support for this system – maybe they’ll finally get the 3rd Party support they have always needed for new hardware.
