F.E.A.R. 3 Trailer Says to "Never Face Fear Alone"

We Suspect Clever Play on Words

by Jonathan H. Cooper

If you read my review of F.E.A.R. 2, you know one thing: I'm an unabashed fan of the franchise. Slow motion? Sort of my favorite thing in the world. Well, that's not true. Slowing down time and taking out enemies in a ballet of death is my second favorite game mechanic next to cooperative play, making this most recent trailer for F.E.A.R. 3 all the more impressive. It might not be able to stand toe-to-toe with Killzone or Gears of War visually, but what it lacks in graphics it more than makes up for with cooperative play and slow motion. Yeah, I'll keep beating that dead horse all I want. No one is going to stop me.

Take a look.
Well, that's about all there is to say about this. The footage likely won't pull anyone in who isn't already a fan of the series - that's something that will need to be looked into at a later date. If the co-op works as well as it should, and the slow-motion battles flow as smoothly as they have in the past, than the game might end up being a contender later this year. Hopefully, at next week's E3, we'll be able to give you more information, since I'm seriously anxious to get some hands-on with this baby. Hopefully it'll end with a rape like F.E.A.R. 2.

What? Spoilers? Now you want to play it, don't you? Thought so. We'll keep you posted.
