A few months back, Gaming Heads announced that they would be making statues based on some of Valve's most popular characters. To start, a Heavy from Team Fortress 2 was revealed, showing off the high level of quality the company was capable of achieving. Sadly, it was over $200, which made it out of reach for just about everyone, and made it clear that these weren't going be for everyone. In fact, creating high-quality statues for hundreds of dollars means they're for a very, very limited audience.

Now, they've posted images of the next statue in the line: a 15 inch tall Tank from Left 4 Dead. The tank is limited to 750 total, and is hand cast in high quality poly-stone, hand finished, and hand painted. It's also $299, meaning that you're likely not going to buy it. Sorry.

Just in case having one of 750 isn't enough, there's a second, more expensive version available. For $325, the "Exclusive" version comes packed with a pump action shotgun. It might seem like a lot of money for a small addition, but it also comes with the satisfaction of knowing that it's part of an even smaller set.

You can check it out on their official website, and ogle a dozen or so images of the large, expensive, impressive figure. Still, for as cool as this is, I can't help but wish that a company like NECA would have been given the rights instead. Sure, giant statues are awesome, but so is having a full cast of Survivors, infected, and special infected for the price of one giant statue. Fingers crossed that they, or someone like them, will eventually get that chance, because I'd love to have the chance to spend a bunch of money on stuff I don't need.
