New sources are stating that the developer 3D Realms has shut down and that the ill-fated title "Duke Nukem Forever" is now officially out of hope. 

Take Two still retains the rights to Duke Nukem Forever, but also stated that they were never in any agreement to fund any development of the title. They were only contracted to pubish it upon its release.

If you ask me .....

About fucking time! If you wanna spend more time leveling than working, then you deserve to be shut down. 

However, I do have a small place in my heart for the original Wolf3D, and Duke 3D games. But the times are tough, and you better be producing games if you wanna be making money from them.
