Little Big Planet Water Beta
Well...I got in...like last week...
by Kiz
I just noticed that I got the LBP Beta key among the myriad of emails from classmates concerning group assignments and the like. So I tried it out yesterday night... And well to tell you the honest truth, I really doubt that it would take anybody away from Uncharted 2, nor will it deter anybody from playing COD:MW2... or ACII for that matter.
It's nothing ridiculously special. As a matter of fact, I don't think it would stop me from finishing all of my assignments that are due next week either.
Sure the use of water would be fun in LBP levels and the like; but it's not exactly ground breaking. There's a lot of bugs that they need to work out and stuff (hence it's a beta) but umm.. yeah, I wish I didn't use up the key to see what it was 'cause I would have literally given it away to somebody for free!
Am I just being ungrateful? No.. I hope that I don't come off as such... I think that I'm just too stressed from school work to enjoy anything; hence my subjectivity.
I enjoy LBP with a group of people just like anybody else would.. and they did say that they were making an honest effort to fix the lag... so I guess I'll come arounf eventually.

Grats! My hope is that people do cool shit with it so I don't have to...
Does it have to be ground-breaking? Is it fun?
The whole Water Patch seems like a beta test for LBP2. While it seems like an after thought for LBP, I'm sure the next game will use it in extraordinary ways.
the only reason i used the word groundbreaking is because it came up A LOT in the forums...
it's fun... if a really cool level was made..
it reminds me of underwater worlds from mario (except in 3d) the most. I'm still waiting for the blow fish to prick me though
Like you brought up in the last paragraph, fix that damned lag. I'm still pretty annoyed I can't play this game online.
Still, water sounds neat.
shame it isn't more exciting but i still think it sounds pretty cool.
