Among Konami's big name offerings was a title most of us had probably either forgotten or never played, Little King's Story. New Little King's Story will tell the tale of King Corobo as he attempts to reclaim his kingdom from "The Nightmare", a devil king who has also incidentally kidnapped several of King Corobo's princesses with the help of his Evil DarkLords. While this iteration of the cult pikmin-like game won't be coming to the Wii or even the Wii-U you can find it on a far more mobile platform: the PS Vita. Admittedly, I've never really spent much time with the original LKS but I've always wanted to and have almost consistently heard good things about it, the most notable changes between NLKS and LKS were the graphics, art style, and controls. Now before you have a mini-tantrum over the art shift it should be noted that only the character art has changed, the in-game art style is still very much cute and very much Little King's Story. Graphics on the other hand, have been totally upgraded (as you'd expect from the vita); the frame rate was silky smooth, the models were crisp and the animations were fluid. New Little King's Story utilizes the Vita's front touch screen for group selection of your peons, a welcome change from its predecessor's method, and allowing for rapid selection in the heat of battle. Likewise, taping and holding on the back touch pad will give you intel on monsters and animals in the world (provided you taped the correct spot). As of now New Little King's Story is scheduled for a Fall 2012 release window with no specific date or price point set.
