There are a lot of people who feel very passionately about the Civilization series.  Many of them even qualify for "fanatical" status.  And with the release of Sid Meier's Civilization V fast approaching, you can expect quite the fervor from those diehards.  The funny thing is, as many fans who are impatiently awaiting this new iteration with open hearts, there are just as many who dread each and every sequel.  

Every release means something is changed about their precious game.  And Civ V will be no exception.  Major changes to map layout, and combat are just a few of the tid-bits that Producer Dennis Shirk shares with us today. Hopefully everyone will come to realize that the nice people at Firaxis Games like Civilization just as much as you do, and they would never do anything to hurt you.

But all the same, making stacks of doom was like cheating so now its gone.
