I downloaded Battlefield 1943 today.
You're going to hurt me.....badly.

How I managed to go through two hours with only one kill is beyond me, but I am having a VERY hard time with this game. This is how it pretty much goes:
*frag* Crap.
Oh look it's a guy!
*frag* Crap.
I'm just going to follow people on my team.
*frag* Crap.
What the?
*frag* CRAP!
Oh look a guy! Machine gun!
*frag* CRAP! Where did that other guy come from?
Oh look planes. *everyone takes off in planes* Crap. Ooh Boat! *everyone jumps in boats* Crap! Ok I guess I'll swim to shore *swims for 2 minutes* Ok I'm on shore.
*frag* CRAP!
*frag* Oh come on I just spawned!
*frag* Wait now I can't even finish a...
*frag* BLARRRGH
So yeah you guys are going to kick my ass Sunday night.
Semi-related note: I can't return this game because it's a digital download. Gee it's a good thing there's not a whole system that's all digital download and nothing else. Otherwise people would be blowing their money all the....

I was scared and thought you like, got a different version, and wouldn't play with us. I'm fine with ACTUALLY killing you.
If you're just starting out play as the Rifleman. He's by far the easiest to play as. Just sneak around and get those long distance kills.
You'll get the hang of it. When I first started playing BF (way back on 1942) it was the same for me. Too about a week or two until I could hold my own, then another month or two until I was running the place. The nice thing is BF skills seem to carry over from game to game, so the next BF title won't be too difficult to get into.
Also, I wouldn't say Rifleman is the easiest, but once you get the hang of the rifle you pretty much own. It's just about getting a feel for aiming.
@Coop: I'll definitely be able to play with you, but playing with you means I'm going to die over and over again at your hands. I don't mind meeting my demise over and over again to support the community, but you may hear "crap" a few times over the headset.
@Raccoonacorn: I've been playing as Infantry because I likes machine guns, but it hasn't been working out too well for me. Just promise me guys if I'm on your side you won't launch the boats as I'm getting into them and make me swim to shore?
Haha, no dick moves in my squad. Hopefully I can make the game night, my GF's mom's birthday party is that night - gotta make that first!
Try rifleman next time you play. I swear if you get the hang of it you will have even more fun with BF43.
Played this for the first time last night. I better keep practicing. Wasn't as bad as Mihailov's first experience but I wasn't running the show either. Flying the plane almost made me feel sick and I never get motion sick from games.
Seems like it's the 360's version of Warhawk but I'm much more partial to warhawk. Maybe it's just comfort right now. But I constantly felt like I picked the wrong type of soldier.
Ignore them. It won't be fun. I'm gunning for you.
Also, I hate Warhawk. RAR! FIGHTING WORDS GOGOGOG.
@Coop: You talkin to me? A few choice words for you. The story for Shadow of the Colossus SUCKS! Warhawk is AWESOME.
Oh darn, I may have bit off more than I can chew. Maybe I'll take a half day today to get some practice in :D
