More love for the Wii in 2010?
Time to get the feather duster.
by Mikhailov

As everyone knows, I purchased a PS3 on Black Friday. Ever since then, I've been enjoying the glory that is the HD console. Prior to engrossing myself in Ratchet and Clank Future, Uncharted, and Batman, I was experiencing the beauty of Fable II and Force Unleashed on the XBox, and the fun of Half Minute Hero and Dissidia: Final Fantasy on the PSP.
It has, however, been several months since I turned on the Wii/DS and enjoyed such fun games as Pokemon, Super Smash Bros, and FFCC: My Life as a King. The Wii really hasn't done much to show me the love when the XBox is giving me games like Turtles in Time Reshelled and the PS3/PSP is letting me enjoy FF7 and FF8 all over again. I haven't wanted to exercise my fat self with Wii Fit. I haven't wanted to re-buy Twilight Princess since I lost it to my ex several years ago. Pokemon is done and dry until the Gold/Silver remakes come out. It's not looking good for my Wii system.
Three games have me dusting off the system, however, and it may finally get some love despite the HUGE pile of games I need to beat before Star Trek Online sucks up all of my free time.

I wasn't planning on buying this game because I had it on my DS, but then I played this game for 10 minutes in Walmart. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Then my brother enjoyed it for another 5. Then I thought of the mayhem that would ensue if we played the game together. I asked for it for XMas, but this time of the year the game may be impossible to find.

I didn't want this game at first because I don't want to play as a set character when it comes to the FF:CC series. Part of the charm of the game is making my own character and going through the game's various dungeons in a quest to better myself. Echoes of Time delivered this while it was fresh, but now it is old. There is NO planned multiplayer, but the game still looks beautiful and fun. I am still going to play it when it comes out the day after XMas.

As much as the Monster Hunter series PISSES ME OFF with its INSANE DIFFICULTY, I still can't put this game down. I trust it'll be the same for Monster Hunter 3. I just need to bring my Action Replay.
Anyone else planning on showing their Wii more love in 2010 if they aren't already?

2009 was a good year for Wii gaming, but playing Wii games isn't "cool" and doesn't allow people to make jokes about their Wii being dusty anymore, so they sit there and make fun of it instead of buying games like MadWorld, Marumasa, Little King's Story, and A Boy and His Blob.
But yeah, 2010 looks good, too.
Coop is right, there were a lot of good Wii games this year that you missed! Start with the ones he recommended (I'm particular to Boy and His Blob, but they're all very good), and pick up New Super Mario Bros. Wii as well. Welcome back to being a Wii gamer!
Your love for the Wii baffles me. Simply baffles me.
Even though I finished NSMBWii some time ago, I still play multiplyare with friends. I get the impression that game will stay in the console for a long time.
@Jack: That's because when we talked last, you were in the group of people who didn't bother playing games for it. You just assumed since there were bad games that they're all bad, when there are some stellar titles.
I'll probably get A Boy and His Blob, but I have a LOT of games to beat over the winter break. Fortunately most of them can be beaten in a day.
And what about all the downloadables for Wii? I still rock Donkey Kong, and Super Mario World from time to time. Not to mention the hard hours still being put into Wii play, old as it is.
