Master of Illusion [With Illusion Cards] (Nintendo DS)

Master of Illusion Express Funny Face. Cool, but not much to it.

by Mikhailov

This isn't much of a quick review, becase I've had to do it in between getting to work this morning, and working with a dying battery at work. I have about 8 minutes left, so here goes:

Express Funny Face teaches you how to use a face to play "guess the card." It teaches you how to draw the face, so it says the exact card your opponent picks. The hard part is learning how to use a deck of actual cards to decipher what the card is. I tried a beginner's joke asking QMarc8O to show me a card from the deck (but to keep it away from the DSi's camera). Then I drew the face. It said the exact card he showed me. He was a little stunned. "How does it know? Is it using the camera?" Learning how to really stun someone will take a lot more practice. It's a cool novelty, but if you're looking for a full fledged game, you won't get it.

If you are interested in buying Master of Illusion, I guess this is a cheap way to see if it's worth buying.

Not much to the game. It's like one of those 99 cent iPhone apps you buy just to show your friends how cool and nerdy you are.

Graphics: 6 (it is just a face after all).
Gameplay: 4
Music/Sound: 5

Total: 5
Time Spent on Game: 5 Minutes
Time it took to write review: 5 Minutes (battery's about to die).
