XBox 360 Needs a Decent MMO
One with your XBL Gold Subscription as your monthly payment
by Mikhailov
I looked into 2 MMOs for my XBox. Both which I immediately decided weren't worth it:
Final Fantasy XI: I found out this game was $15 a month in addition to your XBL gold subscription. I also found out you NEED to be in a guild to get anywhere and you can DELEVEL upon dying. Plus you can't be a moogle. No thanks.
Phantasy Star Universe: It didn't get great reviews, The gameplay is kind of boring (I downloaded the demo), and it's $9.99 a month in addition to your XBL gold subscription. This would be fine, but the single player is completely seperate and you can't make your own character. You instead have to play as a main storyline character that doesn't carry anything over to multiplayer. Lame.
The XBox is fully capable of housing an MMO, espicially with the addition of the 120GB Hard Drive, so why aren't there any decent ones out for the system? Not everyone wants to sit in front of their computer...they want to sit on their couch with their HDTVs.

After reading your title, I was all like, "meh, not really."
BUT THEN, after reading your teaser, I was all like, "Yeah! That sounds like it could work awesomely!"
But sadly, it will never ever happen seeing as people will always want to get paid. Except for those crazy Koreans. They love free-to-play MMO's....so crazy.....
It's such a good concept. They could even market something as a single player game with optional MMO capability and people will flock to it....and I'm not talking Fable II multiplayer. That was just a joke.
