Gizmodo: Military Gatling Gun Apparently Uses Xbox 360-like Controller
Paging Jack Thompson... oh wait.
Gizmodo reports this evening that down at the Modern Day Marine Expo in Virginia, designers have unveiled the GAU-17, a new gatling gun for use with the V-22 Osprey. The gun itself is pretty neat and frightening, but the kicker? To use it, the gunner uses a controller apparently "with the same shape and functionality of an Xbox 360 gamepad."
Of course, this isn't so revolutionary. Using game controllers for combat purposes are nothing new to us intrepid Americans, so if anything, this is merely a sign of the march of progress.
Even if it's kind of hilarious.

o yeah. The xbox 360 controller is used for several different unmanned vehicles. I forget what exactly it was, but I remember seeing this UAV type thing being controlled with an Xbox 360 controller. As soom specter gunship crewmen may tell you "these thumbs have killed so many".
@Suavy: Really? I hadn't heard that, but it doesn't surprise me.
If they really want to own they need to use a mouse and keyboard :p
