Mac Key Pillows

After spending countless hours with Final Cut, the apple-z combo went from being a convenient acquaintance to my best friend. Yeah, you can bet your snuggles I'd give these pillows a good cuddling and you should too. They deserve all the love in the world.

Oh, d'oh. It's sold out. Well, we'll just have to keep an eye out for another batch from the Handmade Housewares Etsy shop. Or better yet, make your own!

A Shelf With Options

Shelves are handy except for the fact that they're also a huge pain in the ass. Big, bulky and hard to move, many times you'll find yourself working to adapt to your shelf's needs versus your own. With the Repisa N5 by Sebastian Errazuriz, you can customize your living space and its storage. Best of all, you can simply fold up whatever you're not using.

All I can say is it's about time.

When Batteries Attack

The culprit for these hot pants would be the battery of an HTC Tough Pro. Lucky for the owner, he was not wearing said pants during the violent outburst. But hey, at least he can still say there was a fire in his pants because you know that always works on the ladies.

Moral of the story: Gadget batteries are nasty, vengeful beings. Don't wear pants.

We've seen our fair share of LEGOfied album covers, but lucky for us, SpeckyBoy has consolidated a gaggle of LEGOfied movie posters for our viewing/building pleasure.

1800s Surgical Kit Is Strangely Familiar

unboxing5

At the risk of sounding like a total creeper, I'd like to share an interesting experience I had today while catching up on all my favorite blogs. BoingBoing featured a story that "unveiled" a surgical kit from the 1800s. Naturally, being accustomed to modern day practice, it's a grotesque sight to see exactly what was used to do what during a more desperate time. Here's a hint: you use the saw to saw things off. But as I read up on this otherwise exclusive discovery it hit me that I've seen this before.

Back in high school I was really good friends with the daughter of a very good doctor. I spent a lot of time in their home watching movies and making silly videos. It was a very warm and wonderful house that I loved to visit.... I mean, apart from the box that sat up above the piano, an antique surgical kit from the civil war. If I remember correctly, it had been passed down from previous doctors of kin. Since I was studying piano at the time and would commonly sneak into the living room to play a tune, it became a common sight that I was commonly confronted with. Surprising to none one other than myself (I have a really weak stomach for these kinds of things), I took an interest too it and would take a closer peek at the kit, observing the tools, hell, even touching them. Sure it was creepy (saws, musket ball), but more so, it was kind of sobering to see how much things have changed for the better.

I have completely forgotten about that "antique" until today. What a trip.

Dead Tauntaun Keeping It Real... Cute

The ever so crafty Heidi Kenney has been hard at work for her upcoming Stitch Wars exhibit and with evidence like this adorable Tauntaun, complete with a cozy Luke Skywalker, it's safe to say it's going to rock.

Come to think of it, is a dead Tauntaun allowed to be this cute? Hmm, I'll allow it.
