Kool-Aid Man On The Prowl - Oooooooh Yeeeeeah!

When Scott Van Den Plas found this busted brick wall, there was no doubt in his mind who the culprit was. So if you see a giant pitcher of kool-aid with a low and boisterous voice, report it to the authorities immediately.

Anywhere, Everywhere and Knowhere Clock
When you've got a handful of time zones to keep up with, it's easy to get left behind in the past (New York) when you have something to take care of in the future (Tokyo). So why not visualize all of those disorienting time differences with the KnoWhere clock. Unlike any other clock, this one contains 8 hands to label and set to 8 different time zones. Also, the KnoWhere clock doesn't stop at 12 just to start over again. A full cycle is equal to a full day. So while it might not be the best clock to watch when you're desperately waiting for time to pass, but it'll be a great reference for when is the best time to make that call to Paris.
The KnoWhere One World Clock is available from Zwello for $48.00.
Planes Go On Diets - Save Fuel

With gas prices soaring higher than ever, airlines are finding it harder and harder to keep their business in flight. Some airlines are finding a solution by losing some of the weight. Here's some things they're giving up:
- One airline saved over 17 gallons/year per pound of weight per airplane after shedding inflight phones, ovens, excess potable water, and some galley equipment on an older fleet
- In removing seatback phones from its MD-80s and B737-400s, another airline shed 200 pounds per airplane, translating into 3,400+ gallons saved annually
- Alaska Airlines indicated in March 2004 that removing just five magazines per aircraft could save $10,000 per year in fuel; also, the airline has reduced the weight of catering supplies
- Air Canada considered stripping primer and paint from its 767s to save 360 lbs. per plane
- JetBlue and US Airways and others have moved toward a paperless cockpit By removing six seats, JetBlue reduced A320 weight by approximately 904 pounds
- Airlines have been able to remove ovens, trash compactors, or even entire galleys, due to the elimination of hot meals on selected flights; others are using lighter seats;
- they have also removed magazine racks and replaced hard cabin dividers with curtains
- AirTran ordered carbon fiber Recaro seats for its 737-700s to shave 19.4 pounds per row, resulting in estimated fuel savings of $2,000 per year per aircraft
- Alaska’s new beverage cart, at 20 lbs. lighter, could save $500,000 in annual fuel costs
- Some airlines flush lavatories during extended ground delays to minimize takeoff weight
As much as I miss a mediocre in-flight meal, an affordable flight and less fuel consumption is worth a few more hours of hunger. It's not like I'm not hungry all the time anyways. Hopefully these progressive airlines will inspire all of those who are heading under to simplify their flights, saving money for both themselves and everyone else.
These days it seems like anyone can be a "Guitar Hero", but it is only a selected few who can rock the hell out of your face with the common (and sometimes not so common) instrument. Band geeks unite! It is your turn to get some love with the assorted Band Geek Hero tees. Are you a tuba hero? How about a drumline hero? Personally I'd like to go ahead and take the title of piano, kazoo, karaoke, synth and accordion hero. Yeah, I'm kind of a big deal. As for the rest of you band geeks, you can find your instrumental counter part with Torso Pants' Band Geek Hero tee generator. Choose your weapon of choice and further customize the cut and color all for $18.00.

Here's an interesting concept by Valerie Madill to librarisize your literary collection. I'm always a big fan of color coordination, and as a matter of fact, that's how my book shelf is currently organized and will remain so. Why? Because it looks awesome. So, how do you organize your books? Or rather, if you had sufficient materials and funds, how would you?
How smart is an octopus? Much smarter than you may think. While recently researchers seem to be having lots of fun with these swimming brains with 8 tentacles and through maze and problem-solving experiments it's becoming apparent that the octopus has both a short and long term memory. That will probably come in handy with those rubick's cubes. Also, it seems as though the octopus is exceptionally squishy (yes, "squishy" is a sophisticated scientific term). Just watch it escape from this box through a 1-inch hole. Yeah, tell me that's not squishy, I dare you.

It's good to know that airlines are taking some measures to deal with the gas prices so that they can stay in business without making prices unaffordable. I'll gladly give up a crappy meal or two, just pack a snack or something.
