Help me Gamervision members...

You are my only hope!

by QMarc80

So I'm looking into a new desktop computer (and possibly even another laptop computer--thanks to looking on craigslist) and am wondering if anyone can offer any places to go to for a decent-to-good computer for around $600.

Anyone?

And if anyone was wondering I'm doing this for two reasons:

a) My computer is dieing anyway. It's making all sorts of noises from the fan, the hard drive, and the processor.

b) I want to be able to play Star Trek Online (and a few other titles old, new, and coming soon) without any issues.

Thanks ahead of time!

I've always had mine built with pieces from Newegg. Do you know (or know someone) who could do that?

Yeah building your own is always going to give you better components for the cost. My advice: don't go for broke, just get what you need to play. It'll be outdated in 2 years no matter how much you spend.

Wish I could help you out, but I'm pretty clueless about good gaming computers.

Thanks you guys. I do know someone (who also already offered to help) but I have knowledge of software, not hardware. So now begins the task of researching what I want to build with.

This page is constantly updated - it offers you the best pieces of hardware for each price level of a computer. The budget PC components offered on here will be good enough to play many of today's most taxing games. Check it out, you can mix and match some components too - if you wanna splurge on a better CPU or GPU.
